PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB PRESENTS ROUND 3 $20,000 LABOR DAY PUPPY STAKES WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, AUGUST 21!


ETHEREAL ELATION, RELATIVITY AND VAGRANT LEAD CONTENDERS IN ROUND 3 OF PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB’S $20,000 GALLAGHER / KINNAIRD LABOR DAY PUPPY STAKESWEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, AUGUST 21!

        West Palm Beach, Fl. - Qualifying for Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes continues with third-round action Wednesday afternoon, August 21.

        After two rounds and 12 qualifying races, only three Greyhounds will have the opportunity to enter the sweet 16 with unblemished records.

        In Race 10, James Douglas Kennel’s #6 Relativity (Kiowa Sweet Trey - Odd Francis) appears to be in a perfect spot to pull off the three-peat.

        Race 12 features the undefeated Rader Racing Kennel’s #7 Vagrant (Super Lee - Yahoo Olivia). As with Relativity, the set up in this event will likely catapult Vagrant into the semifinals with three solid wins.

        There is no doubt that inRace 14, most racing fans will flock to another Rader Racing puppy prodigy #5 Rob Gronkowski (Switzler Jammin - Chatty Cathy). A possible challenge could come from the ultra-consistent #1 Daphne Zuniga (Spiral Nikita - Kay V Sweet Kay, Brindle Kennel).

        Race 15 will be the final qualifier of the afternoon and highlights the last of the undefeated, #5 Ethereal Elation (Dragon Fire - Lady Of The Sea, Royal Racing Team). A possible threat to the qualifying win streak could come from the well-positioned#7 Yahoo Diablo (Flying Penske - Cherry Jubilee*, Rader Racing).

        The top 16 point earners following round three, will advance to the Puppy Stakes semifinals slated for Monday afternoon, August 26.

        The $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes championship final will be contested Monday afternoon, September 2, Labor Day.

        Post time for the first raceWednesday afternoon is 1:00 p.m. with gates opening at 11:30 a.m.

        Formerly known as the Labor Day Puppy Stakes, this marks the fifth year of its’ new moniker, named in memory of two Palm Beach County legendary sportscasters, and great friends of Palm Beach Kennel Club, Jim Gallagher and Buck Kinnaird.
