Wheeling post for Saturday afternoon & Evening

 Saturday Matinee:

Race 10 (Grade AA): This race features a nice matchup between the one dog WW’s Herbicide, who has only missed the pay sheet once in 20 career races, and the seven dog Stealintheshow, who returned last week from a layoff with a top grade victory. The six dog WW Sweet Gilbert has top grade wins on his resume. The three dog TMC’s Ruffian has late speed and could catch the bottom of exotic tickets.

Race 12 (Grade AA): The four dog KB’s Santa Ana makes her Grade AA debut after winning five out of her first six career races, including her last four in a row (Grades D, C, B, A). The five dog RS’s Locomotive has a win and a second in his last two top grade starts after returning from Tristate. Others to consider include the one dog Noon, the six dog WW’s Tear Down and the eight dog Cry Comal.

Race 15 (Grade AA 3/8): The six dog Shot At Stardom has six straight victories on the backside, the last five in Grade AA. In each victory, he has bolted out to huge leads early and distanced himself from the field. The biggest closer in the race appears to be the seven dog TMC’s X Factor, who has a win and a second in his last two 3/8 races.

Saturday Evening:

Race 6 (Grade TAA 3/16): Going head-to-head are the three dog Slatex Elwood, the former track record holder, and the four dog Tango, who shares the current mark. The two dog KB’s Matterhorn, the five dog Slatex Ford and the six dog Boc’s Chantilly all show a pair of 3/16 victories.

Race 10 (Grade AA): Three sprinters to watch in this top grade test are the two dog KB’s Santa Rita, who has hit the quiniela ticket in eight out of her 10 career races including a second in her only top grade start; the three dog WW’s Creamery, who has won four out of her last six Grade AA trips; and the seven dog Rio Riverrunner, who has two victories and three seconds in his last five top grade races.

Race 12 (Grade AA): It’ll be early speed vs. late speed. Expected to vie for the early lead are the two dog WW’s Sally Field, the four dog Jade’s Girl and the six dog Flying Monett. Coming late will be the one dog CTW Ford Deluxe, the five dog Whiskey Ash and the seven dog Lazy K Oak Hill. Although a midtracker, Ford Deluxe has hit the trifecta in all six of his races this year from the rail post.
