And he did.

In the Futurity finale, Billy Bob broke alertly, while co-finalist Jawa Bruiser rushed the first turn to take command on the backstretch.
O Ya Billy Bob and the Bruiser have gone head-to-head in the past. And this outcome would be no different.
At the top of the homestretch, Billy Bob powered by Jawa Bruiser and that was all she wrote, with Billy Bob going on to win by more than three-lengths and returning a fan-favored $3.40 to his many, many supporters.
Billy Bob’s running time of 29.37 seconds is a new Dick Andrews Futurity stake record. The old record of 29.66 was set in 1999 by Hey Barny Bee.
The newly-crowned champ collected a cool $10,000 for his impressive victory.
Billy Bob’s kennel mate Meena Lee, Jawa Brusier, and another Rader finalist, Ranger Trent, finished second, third and fourth, respectively.
Kennel operator Norm Rader summed it up succinctly. “Billy Bob is a fast, fast dog. Maybe the fastest dog I have ever had at Palm Beach. He will be staying for the He’s My Man Classic (January 19, 2013), then going to Mardi Gras for World Classic and then back to Palm Beach for the St. Patrick’s Invitational.”
