THE LITTLE GIRL DOES IT!
NIDETT WINS PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB’S
$50,000 JAMES W. PAUL 3/8THS MILE DERBY
IN PHOTO FINISH!

West Palm Beach, Fl. - Who says bigger is better?

Who says “close” only matters in horseshoes and hand grenades?

In the finale of Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $50,000 James W. Paul Derby, it was the 56-pound fireball from North Shore Kennel, Nidett, winning the biggest race of her young career, holding off a bold challenge from Rader Racing Kennel’s TK Takin Chances.

Wearing the lucky green blanket of post four, Nidett broke first out of the starting box, followed by co-finalists Palm City Pamela and Takin Chances.

It was on the far turn that it looked as if Takin Chances would pull by Nidett - a for a few ticks of the timer, it looked as if he had - but the determined athlete held her ground, winning by a nose in a speedy 37.88 seconds.

She returned to her supporters a huge $33.40 for a two-dollar win ticket.

Tk Takin Chances, Palm City Pamela and Atascocita Tiera finished second, third and fourth, respectively.

Nidett collected a cool $25,000 for her 37-seconds run of fun in the sun.
