Stan's Wheeling picks for Saturday matinee and Saturday evening, Sept. 14 AND for Sunday matinee, Sept. 15.

Stan’s standouts

Saturday matineeSeptember 14

Race 6: No. 8 Wheeling Ron … should have plenty of room to rush with the seven going straight to the rail.
Race 9: No. 1 Flesk Flyer … never found his break in the shorter 3/16 distance, look for a different start in 5/16.
Race 10: No. 3 WW’s Herbicide … down in class and drawing an inside post are the ingredients for success.
Race 12: No. 2 Groupie Doll … has consistently been getting good position early, don’t expect that to change.
Race 13: No. 1 Braska Brave … expect the inside runner to break and rush up into contention early in the race.

Stan’s standouts

Saturday eveningSeptember 14

Race 3: No. 5 WW’s I Agent … grade dropper boxed in a good spot to hit the lid and rush to the front early.
Race 4: No. 1 Sabil Par Cayman … early speed merchant should rocket to the front against this field, tad short.
Race 7: No. 8 Kiowa Trapeze … look for the grade dropper to follow the seven to the first turn, close strong.
Race 10: No. 1 WW Sweet Gilbert … after missing his break in back-to-back trips, expect a quicker start, rush.
Race 13: No. 7 KB’s Casito … expect the midtracker to get nice position early, good trifecta/superfecta play.

Stan’s standouts

Sunday matineeSeptember 15

Race 2: No. 1 BJ’s Kip … youngster looks like he’s turning the corner, may repeat his one hole Maiden victory.
Race 3: No. 8 Braska Helen … even if she misses her break, there’s room outside to rush up into contention.
Race 4: No. 1 CTW All Hail … grade dropper is a perfect three-for-three this year wearing red in Grades A-B.
Race 6: No. 1 WW’s Fuzzy … possesses the rocket break needed to be successful in the shorter 3/16 distance.
Race 9: No. 1 Whatta Man … has shown a lot of bottom in his sprint races, a good trifecta/superfecta play.
